lucky charm...

Dave, Natalie and I went to vote last week. When we walked up, the line was winding through a big room, but not knowing what to expect, we weren't sure how long it would take....so we decided to jump in and start waiting. After about ten minutes, a poll worker walked by, and we asked how long the wait was..."at least two hours," she said. We decided that our little Natalie, who was already standing up backwards in her stroller, would never make it for two hours and decided to give up and try again another time. As we were walking out the door, a very kind woman named Candace started talking to Natalie. She asked where we were going...we told her that Nat would never make it for the wait, and we were headed home. She talked to the woman beside her, and then told us to head straight to the front of the line where the disabled voters report. We felt a little awkward, but walked down several long hallways until we found the area where she had directed us. They welcomed us with open arms (I guess she told them we were coming), and we were in and out of that place within ten minutes. Natalie did her magic and had all the workers smiling. Our little "lucky charm" saved us a lot of time, and possibly a serious early toddler breakdown, with simply her 'charm' and smiles! Thanks Nat Nat...

I can't tell you how many times Ava and I have skipped through airport security in the disabled line and gotten through some tough and long lines at the airport, in general! Adorable, smiling babies can do amazing things when their are long lines involved! Natalie is certainly an adorable Georgia peach!
